Longhorn Charcoal Pit in Sunnyvale

This is a great old times place to get a open charbroiled steak. Burgers, chops, sandwiches and breakfast is also on the menu. Nothing fancy, but perfect baked potato, great salad dressing, really awesome garlic bread. Sounds familiar? The food was very good and the place made me feel nostalgic for places like Burger Pit and Sizzler. Like Longhorn, still around, but hard to find.

Good old standby. Great burgers. Moderately priced steaks.

This is not part of the Longhorn steakhouse chain. Rather, it is a locally owned restaurant that has been around FOREVER. The cuisine as you would guess is burgers, steaks, ribs, etc. The decor is a dated Western theme that I like in a nostalgic way. The food is tasty with very generous portions. Substitutions are allowed for included side dishes. A good variety of bottled beer is available. The prices are modest by Silicon Valley standards. It has counter service and a very friendly staff. I once accidentally knocked over my beer and was immediately presented with a new one at no additional charge.

Very reasonably priced menu, breakfast, lunch and dinner fare. Been around forever. Rustic setting, like going back to Brady Bunch set. Order pay and sit. Salad bar & all you can drink sodas available. Indoor only so leave dog at home. Adjoining bar.

The best reward after surfing... Slow cooked, great flavor, adequate spice. I love the Mac n cheese side. And you can BYOB from the market next door and eat in the picnic area. What more could you want?

This place is on point for the Steak Sandwiche and the baked potato was perfect I definitely enjoyed it and will recommend it to anyone that wants to try this place service was fast the owner was very friendly clean environment the menu has a wide selection I will forsure be going back soon

They also have a door that goes to the bar next door which they 'deliver' to (I ordered over the phone while at the bar so I wouldn't lose my table).The steak was a bit overcooked but the clam chowder was awesome. Unfortunately would not eat there if I wasn't at the bar next door.

I have loved this place for 30 years and the food is always delicious! Friendly service and cool decor.

Close to home good for quick meal.

The BBQ is just middle of the road fare. It's not horrible and it's not outstanding. Friendly staff and really nice authentic western family friendly atmosphere. It's large so it can easily accomodate groups. Communal tables help to foster a friendly feeling here. I think i would have rated it higher if it were slightly less expensive since its not the greatest BBQ around. There is a small parking lot. It does serve breakfast.

This place has been around forever. If you're looking for an okay steak, bake potato, salad and garlic bread you won't be disappointed. The atmosphere is funky old Western but has some charm. The staff is super friendly. Their breakfast menu is huge but I've never eaten breakfast there.

This restaurant is surely one of the coolest place in the area. Every time I come to this place I am highly satisfied. They hold their high standard service and the highest level of dishes they serve. You no doubt will love this place. Very recommended.

They must have change owners. Not as good as it was a decade ago but all right beats any fast food restaurant the cheeseburgers and french fries at a reasonable price if you're on the go call him up you'll have it ready like 10 minutes

Friendly staff, good food, large breakfast portions, decent prices, clean and comfortable. Especially busy on Sunday mornings and the wait time is still short.

Been coming to this place since I was a little girl with my mom & aunt (who'd eat in the adjoining bar so they could have their cocktails), and now I'm age 60! This casual steakhouse is great for large groups, plenty of room for wheelchairs, & active kids. Good, solid home-cookin'! The owner/cook always remembers me, regardless of how long it is between visits (since I don't live so close anymore). I used to bring my son in there when he was little, and he's now 22! Very friendly staff, good prices & good food makes this lost type of establishment a rare gem in Silicon Valley!

✓ TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEFirst time here. Unfriendly lady at register and old man working the grill. Order the longhorn medium well and a side of salad, large fries and a beverage. Salad was white and brown, moldy from days ago. The salad was the ends of a romaine lettuce!!! (See photo). I asked kindly for a better salad and they brought .e the same thing almost exactly. Failed!!! The steak came in and they place my food in so.eone else's tray. The steak was to cooked. That of a well done, no pink, no juices! BIG FAIL! the "large fries" came in at a few amount and some seemed like they were re-fried. NASTY!! I asked for a full refund. Lady in from was rude and told me to slow my roll down. Never did I hear an apologgy! Rude service to it's finest. They don't care about you or your food. Very inattentive! Place decor looks old and that air conditioner hanging from the ceiling seems like a hazard!! WILL NEVER COME BACK, NOT EVEN FOR FREE!!! Don't waste your time here!
